There is a big reason why Baylor has not had to fret over covering kickoff returns. Noah Rauschenberg. He dependably puts the ball beyond the end zone. And you can't return kicks like that. He has been automatic in that regard. BUT not this past Saturday. Of course, special teams are on the field to prevent runbacks, too, but Noah was not on his game against Okie State. And the one where Nixon went 98 yds and another for midfield made a whopping difference in the ultimate score. Were there other issues? Yes! BUT when Noah does NOT put the ball beyond the end zone, it exposes a porous special team effort. Noah ... do better! And if you can't , then return team .. don't leave gaps even I could run through. And I'm 77.
