Baylor 2023 duo receives All American Bowl honors

On Wednesday Baylor commits Austin Novosad‍ and Isaiah Robinson‍ were honored by receiving their All American Bowl jerseys. The two were selected for the prestigious game earlier this year then presented their jerseys yesterday.

Dripping Springs quarterback Austin Novosad is completing 66.4% of his passes for 1,299 yards and 18 touchdowns with two interceptions. This isn’t new to the All-American Bowl invitee as he threw for 6,072 yards and 75 touchdowns during his sophomore and junior season.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect is ranked inside the top 100 in the nation according to 247 and is a consensus four-star prospect while also being a top 10 quarterback in the 2023 class. Novosad was a three-star prospect until the summer where he saw his recruitment blow up thanks to a strong performance at the Elite 11 Finals.

Novosad chose the Bears over Texas A&M and Ohio State but he also held offers from Notre Dame, Stanford, TCU, Kansas, and Texas Tech among others.

Arlington Lamar offensive tackle Isaiah Robinson is a composite top 250 player in the country and a consensus four-star prospect. The 6-foot-7, 288-pound lineman is considered a top 25 offensive tackle in the country and a top 40 player in the state of Texas. 

He held 27 offers during his recruitment from schools like Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Florida State, LSU, Miami, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and USC but his final decision was between Baylor and Cal. Ultimately he gave his pledge to the Bears on July 4th and has been locked in ever since.

The 23rd edition of the All-American Bowl will take place on January 7th inside the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The East vs. West matchup will be nationally televised on NBC.
