#5 Baylor (3-0) notches Coach Drew's official 400th win at Baylor tonight with a 95-62 victory over Northern Colorado (1-2). Next up for the Bears are two tough games in Las Vegas opening up with Virginia (2-0) on Friday November 18th.
Positives
- Congrats to Coach Drew on 400 wins at Baylor (officially). Two wins were credited to Jerome Tang on his watch.
- Adam Flagler 13 points and 10 assists and only one turnover
- Incredible performance from Dale Bonner on both ends of the court- 12 points; 4 rebounds; 4 assists; 6 steals. He’s a difference maker.
- Great to see LJ Cryer regain his shooting form- 20 points on 8-16 from the field.
- Jalen Bridges playing at a high level of efficiency.
- Keyonte George- off night shooting but still 12 points; 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Loved to see him draw two charges also.
- Great contributions from Joshua Ojianwuna, Flo Thamba, Caleb Lohner and Langston Love. All stars in their roles.
- Forcing the 15 steals and 24 turnovers was great
Needs Work
- Transition defense and ball rotations. Northern Colorado shot 35% from 3 (10-29). We want to hold teams under 30%.
- Offensive rebounding - only 26% of our misses tonight. We are almost always over 30%. We did a great job on the defensive glass though (84%).
- 3 point shot selection. We have great shooters but we had a few “pulls” that were like “what are we doing?” Need to clean that up against better competition especially if we only rebound 25% of our misses. We finished at 10-31 from 3 (32%).
