BYU transfer OL Campbell Barrington commits to Baylor
BYU transfer offensive lineman Campbell Barrington has committed to Baylor following his official visit this past weekend. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-6, 300-pound prospect had a strong connection with Eric Mateos and Jeff Grimes thanks to their time at BYU. This allowed the Bears to get him on campus quickly and land the high impact prospect out of the transfer portal.
Barrington was a Freshman All-American in 2021 but this past season he dealt with injuries, including a broken thumb, which caused him to miss out on a consistent starting role. He ended playing all over the offensive line over the course of eight games he was healthy for.
He is a member of the 2018 class so he has the maturity and age to make an immediate impact at Baylor. The expectation is that he will come in and take over a starting spot at tackle next season.
