Baylor adds Michigan State transfer kicker Jack Stone
Michigan State transfer kicker Jack Stone has committed to Baylor as a walk on after just one season in East Lansing. The Highland Park product was the No. 5 ranked kicker in the 2022 class according to Chris Sailer Kicking.
During his true freshman season at Michigan State he finished 15-for-16 on extra points and went 2-for-4 on field goals. The field goals he made were from 51 yards and 43 yards while his misses were from 44 yards and 45 yards (blocked). He also averaged 58.7 yards on 53 kickoff attempts with 13 touchbacks.
Stone was the starting placekicker at the beginning of the season for the Spartans but ended up sharing duties with graduate transfer Ben Patton.
The Baylor staff has to replace Issac Power, John Mayers, and Noah Rauschenberg heading into the 2023 season. With the addition of Stone and 2023 commit Palmer Williams, the staff has now filled both kicker and punter duties for the forseeable future.
