QUOTABLE

Head coach Michael Woodson

On Friday’s match…

“I thought the guys did a good job overall in tough conditions here, with a team that is very comfortable with fast indoor courts. They were a really solid, well coached and confident opponent this morning. It was hard, which was exactly what we were looking for. The guys did a really good job of being disciplined, competitive and made their opponents earn every point, especially at the end of sets. There are some things that we would certainly like to clean up and things that we could do smoother on certain courts, but I felt like the chips were down and we played our games really well, and as a team, we competed together well. It’s always good to get a win on the road, especially against a team like William & Mary. We are looking forward to cleaning a few things up and getting ready for a great test against Virginia on Sunday.”

WHAT’S NEXT

The Bears stay in Virginia to face No. 1 Virginia in Charlottesville, Jan. 22 at noon CT.
