#9 Baylor drops its second game in a row with another dismal second half performance in the state of Kansas 75-65 to #14 KSU.  The Bears (20-8; 9-6) look to regroup with a home game against Texas Saturday February 25th.

Thanks to Richard Rogers for joining me on the post game podcast.

Thoughts

  • I will not let 18-23 year olds determine my level of emotional happiness.  I wrote that 100 times on my chalkboard in my office.  It was therapeutic.
  • Points in the paint in our Big12 losses
    • ISU:  28-20 ISU
    • TCU:  52-24 TCU
    • KSU:  38-32 KSU
    • Texas:  26-20 Baylor
    • Kansas:  40-32 KU
    • KSU:  42-16 KSU
  • We didn’t play with anything close to the competitive grit and fire needed to win that game tonight.  I did appreciate the effort from LJ Cryer and Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua.  Keyonte definitely had his moments offensively and did look like he was trying on defense.
  • Just a performance to flush from Adam Flagler.  He looked like he was worn out.  38 minutes, 4 points and 1 assist on 13 shots.
  • Keyonte’s offense (6-10 from 3), 23 points overall; LJ Cryer’s effort on both ends (16 points; 6 assists) and Jon off the bench (11 points; 12 rebounds) were bright spots.

Regroup and get ready for Texas
