Utah State Transfer Cornerback Ajani Carter Commits to Baylor
Utah State transfer cornerback Ajani Carter has given his commitment to the Baylor staff following his official visits to Indiana, Baylor, and BYU over the past week and a half. He joins Utah State JACK transfer Byron Vaughns and Oregon defensive line transfer Treven Ma’ae as the commits out of the transfer portal during this most recent cycle.
He chose Baylor over offers from Indiana, Penn State, BYU, and Houston.
The 6-foot-0, 195-pound prospect totaled 44 tackles, six pass breakups, two forced fumbles and an interception in 10 games last season. In 2021 he posted 45 tackles, two sacks, three interceptions, and a forced fumble.
Carter received immediate interest from the Baylor staff when he entered the portal. Baylor defensive coordinator Matthew Powledge was the one who offered the cornerback prospect but he was able to have conversations with a majority of the staff during this process.
The graduate transfer has one year of eligibility remaining.
