Can Baylor's Defense Get Back to Form in 2023?

There is talent and potential to be a top 30 defense. Could the final piece of the puzzle be in Aranda getting more involved on defense?

Baylor’s defense was catastrophic in 2022. If you consider it an Aranda defense (we’ll discuss that further in this article), the only defense worse than the 2022 Bears was 2011 Hawaii. Last year’s Bears were even worse than 2010 Hawaii. It was a full-on cratering, the likes of which we have never seen under an Aranda defense.

As a sampling, they were 56th in defensive FEI and 62nd in defensive SP+ .
