Arlington Bowie 2024 Safety Kris Wokomah Commits to Baylor

Arlington (TX) Bowie High School 2024 safety Kris Wokomah‍ has committed to Baylor. He becomes commit No. 7 in the 2024 class and the second safety in the class joining Mason Dossett‍.

“I think they have a great coaching staff,” he said. “I really like the defensive scheme, they play fast and physical. I think they do a great job of developing the players to help them be successful. I’m excited about the future of Baylor Football.”

Wokomah built a strong relationship with Baylor defensive coordinator and his primary recruiter Matthew Powledge during his recruitment process. The staff views him as a free safety in Bears defensive scheme.

The 6-foot-0, 185-pound prospect chose Baylor over offers from Texas Tech, SMU, Houston, Kansas, UTSA, Duke, Memphis, and Washington State among others.

He took an official visit to SMU this past weekend and was supposed to take on to Texas Tech this weekend but decided to give his commitment to Baylor instead. 

He will take his official visit to Baylor on June 23rd-25th.

Wokomah is currently rated as a four-star 90-overall prospect on SicEm365 and On3, a high three-star on Rivals, and unranked on both 247 and ESPN.
