Counting Votes: Baylor Receives Votes in Preseason AP Poll
A week after receiving 28 points and being 33rd in the preseason edition of the USA Today Coaches Poll, Baylor Football received three points in the preseason AP Poll, good for 44th place.
Big 12 teams in the top 25 of the AP Poll include Texas at No. 11, Kansas State at No. 16, TCU at No. 17 and Oklahoma at No. 20. Texas Tech, which was ranked No. 24 by the Coaches Poll, was the first team out with 101 points.
Kansas earned ten points and UTSA earned 64 to round out the Big 12 and state of Texas schools in the poll.
The last time Baylor was ranked in the AP was September 25, 2022. The Green-and-Gold had just beaten Iowa State in Ames and were heading into a matchup with No. 9 Oklahoma State. The No. 16 Bears would go on to lose that game by a score of 36-25.
