Baylor Volleyball’s Bibinbe Earns Co-Defensive Weekly Honor from Big 12
IRVING, Texas – Baylor volleyball’s Manuela Bibinbe earned Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors by the Big 12 Conference, the league announced Tuesday.
Bibinbe, a transfer from Missouri State West Plains, garnered the accolade after helping the Bears hold then-No. 18 Rice to a .007 hitting percentage.
The Yaounde, Cameroon, native had seven total blocks on the night, including four solo, to help BU rake in 15 total as a team. The last time a Baylor player had four solo blocks was Andressa Parise in November of 2021 against Iowa State at home.
This is Bibinbe’s first conference honor from the Big 12 and Baylor’s first weekly honor of the 2023 season.
