Gillespie Building On 2022’s Defensive Shift In Year Two

Much like Bob Stoops did when he arrived at OU, Dykes hired a coordinator for the other side of the ball that he didn’t like going against — then Tulsa DC Joe Gillespie. Last year he retrofitted TCU’s 4-2-5 recruited guys into a 3-3-5 style scheme in the style of ISU or KSU.
