Dave Aranda's remodel continues with a significant addition at running backs coach and some critical roster decisions, especially at quarterback, providing further clarity on the 2024 roster.

Here's a look at The Good, The Bad & The Ugly from the past week for Baylor Football.

THE GOOD

Spavital Intro: I enjoyed hearing from new OC Jake Spavital and Dave Aranda during the former's introductory press conference early last week.

Portal can be a real help. Not confident Dave will get enough help. Dave has not shown recruiting real Texas high school talent since Joey and Blanchard left. So we are very behind. The 24 class is not full of athletes with offers from Big 12 schools. We have had poor classes the past 2 years and our 24 class is ranked around 60. 3 in a row does not forecast well for next season. Not expecting much.

Anyone notice Coach Prime added 4 starting offensive linemen this weekend? It is their biggest need. Also a great Wideout. Very impressive as no good news for Baylor in the portal. Looks like the Fudge Center and the new, improved Baylor NIL is failing to impress the.portal guys. Not surprising. Talented players are not impressed with Dave. Colorado finished in the top 25 last year and are addressing their needs for next year in the portal. Baylor continues poor recruiting in the 60's with the 24 class and little to show in portal interest. Not sure why the delay in hiring an offensive line coach other than the dumpster fire Dave has created. Will be interesting projecting Baylor football for 24. Should remain at the bottom

Dave has led Baylor to become the new Kansas.
