Ever since it was apparent that Baylor was a bad team this past Fall, Baylor fans have largely honed in on the transfer portal as the source of a potential 2024 turnaround. The portal has lessened the importance of high school recruiting, and it makes more sense to turn to older players for a team that needs an infusion of ready-to-play talent, leadership, and experience.

Therefore, expectations for what Baylor should do in the portal are key to establish.

If we don't add offensive linemen we will continue to suck regardless of other positions.

My hope for improvement is 90% tied to improving offensive line.

Not encouraging so far.

Whoever we get will be the ones they "really" wanted. That kid from some lower level program is the one we wanted all along... I am sure we will be told by those that really know football what to think.

The proof will be in the product, but there's talent at all levels of football. I'll reserve judgment on our newcomers until I see them play.

At least the pattern has to be broken next season.

Ok, I will go there. Just hard to get excited. Since Mack yelled at the fan base for the K-State game it seems the Football Gods have been pissed at Baylor. Past time where we offer up a AD or HC to appease them...

When Zippy isn't involved, it'll be fantastic.

If 1-11 next year gets Mack fired I might be ok with the trade. He's not a Baylor guy at all.

IMHO a success would be several OL and DL who can improve the level of play over last year

Honestly no idea why the Toledo qb committed unless he's certain we're bringing in a lot of O line help. Highly coveted prospect that could have gone to a more stable situation.

I guess he doesn't have to show up if Aranda doesn't follow through and bring in 2-3 more solid o line transfers

He might have looked at his offers and thought, "where can I go that I've got the highest chance of being the starter."

He would have been the starter for any of the schools that were actively pursuing him.
