The fifth-seeded Bears are set to take on the fourth-seeded Hokies this evening at 7 p.m. CT at Cassell Coliseum. VT is currently on a 26-game win streak in the Coliseum. 

The Hokies will be without Elizabeth Kitley, who suffered an ACL injury on March 3. 

The winner of today’s match will advance to the Sweet Sixteen and face the winner of No. 1 USC vs No. 8 Kansas; that game will be played at 9 p.m. CT Monday.

Solid stepping stone for the program. Many of these ladies are experiencing their first second weekend of the tournament. Have a week to game plan for USC. Not sure we can match up but excited to watch us try!

let's keep DANCING !!!! Jada was outstanding, she has been needing this because she is a GREAT guard this was like Jada in Austin but times 10.

one thing that shocked me was Denae getting a lot of minutes late when she hasn't played much all year. Bella sat. Hope she is okay she came in again after that fall but was just odd in my opinion. Guess it was a better match up.

I mean, it's one game. And we don't likely win with their All-American center. She game planned well for VTech and actually called the time outs and did a lot of things that many posters on this board have commented about. One game doesn't make her remarkable just like one loss doesn't make her suck. But I don't think anyone can deny that getting to the second weekend is a huge step forward for the program and a great accomplishment for the girls.

I think we just need one Big really a good 6'5 player with experience that can push out other 3. Well 3 of the madison, kyla, and Lety all return. And then i think we just need one more like very versatile player like a Aijha or Dre where they can play inside and out.

Just speculation, but I would guess you wouldn't want to have someone get a clear inbounds and be able to quickly kick out to someone on the three line that we might have reactively abandoned if we saw the ball go inside????? Whether there would have been enough time, I don't know.

we ended a crazy streak for VT of home wins, that is one of the toughest places to play in the ACC
