Couldn't get video of Anu, but here's what he had to say:

Q. Seemed like you guys were getting things going
but once you cut across the 50, you got in the red
zone, just kind of shot yourselves in the foot?
ANU SOLOMON: Yeah, just things wasn't just going
my way.
Q. So what do you think you could have done
better then? If you say, it's all on me, what could
you have done better then?
ANU SOLOMON: Everything -- to my reads, to my
throws downfield. I wasn't connecting. Receivers were
ready to play today. I just wasn't connecting with them.
Q. Do you still feel confident as a starter?
ANU SOLOMON: I felt confident to compete. But it is
what it is.
Q. What was your teammates' reaction to you
tonight after the game?
ANU SOLOMON: Supportive. Bringing me up. I
mean, there is some -- I mean, it is what it is. I know I
didn't step up. I know I didn't play today. But at the
end of the day that's just on me.
Q. What do you want the fans to know about what
you and the guys talk about?
ANU SOLOMON: I mean, we want to win as much as
the fans want us to win. We are working. We are
grinding. And we're going to continue to fight.
Q. Do you think maybe as an offense y'all got a bit
panicked in the second half, and maybe tried to go
for the home run play as opposed to maybe a 10-
or 12-yarder just to keep the chains going?
ANU SOLOMON: Things were there. It's just I wasn't
connecting at all.
Q. How do you not let these two tough losses
affect you moving forward? What do you take
away from them, how do you keep positive and
focus on the game ahead instead of the two behind
you?
ANU SOLOMON: Don't look back. Just continue to
move forward. Grind. Watch film. Just ignore all the
outside noise.

Just put your ass on the bench and let someone experienced in this conference show you how it should be done.

Same goes for you, Rhule. You outright SUCK!

Thule screwed it when he waited to long to announce the season opener QB starter.

I have to give Anu credit for taking responsibility for his mistakes. Some of that was pretty clear. I also thought the O-line was not able to protect him adequately. I could be wrong, but it seemed there were several throws he could not perform well because there was too much pressure, not to mention the sacks.

Clay Johnston's interview was very good. I liked what he had to say. I also liked some of what he did on the field. There does appear to be a bit of a silver lining.

No comments on Rhule for now.

This might be a dumb observation, but I noticed that the clock continued to run when our WRs went out of bounds on the second to last drive. It also seemed like we wasted a ton of time on that drive getting the play in and everyone lined up. I know clock management was the least of our worries at that point, but I found it pretty interesting.

Thanks for this.

Everyone should be upset. But please let's not turn into fairweather Aggie fans.

Matt Rhule is a good coach and will turn things around. We have a good staff. Kids are trying hard. It's going to take some time.

I think the defense will get it figured out. Once they realize to not think and just go out and be physical they will change for the better mid season.

The offense needs some work. I agree with a lot of people that we should start Zach going forward. I understand going with Anu. An offensive scheme like this is at its greatest powers when you have a Marcus Mariotta or Cam Newton like qb. The problem is we don't have that. Anu with his mobility is the closest thing we have.

I think the thing I find more alarming with the offense is that there is no identity. When hearing about how they would tailor it I thought they were going for a more hybrid approach. It seems more like they are playing in 3 different offenses.

I don't mind us being a pro-style team. I personally don't think being a spread or ground and pound team will make much difference. But you have to own who you are. Right now we are not owning it.

Matt needs to make a decision. If you're going to be a power, play action team then let's go ahead and do it. If we are truly going to be a hybrid team with multiple formations instead of multiple offenses, I'm all for it. But let's be a little more creative and intentional with what we are doing out there. And if you are going hybrid, like I said before why use Chip Kelly's outside zone offense, instead of basing our pro-style set on Briles inside power run veer offense? To me that is a better fit for what he would like to do on offense. Don't know why we are trying to do a spread attack that doesn't work unless you're going super uptempo. If you don't it is way to simple to figure out and can be easily stopped. You can slow down what we used to do and still be effective because of the spacing and your asking linemen to go down hill and attack.

I also think that if he isn't already, Glenn Thomas should take over more of the OC duties. Nothing against Jeff Nixon. He seems like a good coach, but Glenn has more experience doing it and it seems like there is some hesitation and unsurity as to what play needs to be called. We should have Nix concentrate on the run offense and get us back to a power rushing attack.

We need a change of quarterback. Having lost 2, Solomon's confidence appears to be shot. I hope Rhule will see the light and at least give it a try. It can't get any worse.

This is all too reminescent of the ongoing KU debacle. Mangino fired for "abusing" his players. Turner Gill, a good guy, hired. He said all the right things but came from a losing program and didn't have a clue. KU is still paying the price.

I think you are right of course. I also believe Matt wants it done his way with his offense. He is not wanting to make the adjustments necessary yet, and keeps trying to pound it out with a pro style offense, with thrown in deep passes and passes in the flat.

Art took what the other teams weakness gave him, that amounted to an almost certain offensive output. Almost every game. I just happens to believe Zack's far superior arm would give us a much better chance to move the chains. Matt would have to conceed our personnel is not ready to pound people and implement a modified offense that would take advantage of aspects of the spread more often than he is willing.

I think that is why a NFL arm is setting the bench. Anu physically is capable of aspects of the Pro set offense, but his arm and decision making are very inadequate right now. Zach could shine but coach Rhule would have to decide that his baby, the Pro Style offense has to go for now.

Right now he is trying to fit circles into squares. If he wants to win this year he will have to decide the offense designed for our circles make a comeback.

I am afraid he is to stubborn to conceed this. Where Art would adjust to whatever it takes.

You do forget that within the past 10 years KU played in a BCS bowl and I think they even won. Amazing.

I'm glad to see Zach is starting Saturday. I still think he should have had plenty of reps in the first two games. Who knows? He might have been able to turn things around in the 3rd to get the win. That said, Anu did some great things too, especially vs. Liberty.

What surprised me is that Brewer is the backup--then I leaned Anu had to miss anyway because he was under concussion protocols. I did not realize he had taken a bad head hit. I hope he gets some play time going forward--even if it's only garbage time. He needs a chance to build up his confidence and show what he can do.
