Gleeson, Williams, Ellis highlight week two for Baylor pledges

Jackson Gleeson‍ and Mansfield faced off with powerhouse Cedar Hill and future teammate Josh Fleeks‍. Gleeson and Mansfield walked off the field victorious, 38-21, but both had highlights. Gleeson ended the night with two catches for 103 yards and two touchdowns from 50 and 53 yards out. Fleeks had a 23 yard rushing TD on his only carry and was thrown to in the flat for -5 yards on three receptions.

Baylor's lone 2019 commit Jaylen Ellis‍ (Cedar Ridge) had 10 receptions for 226 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-19 loss to Midway.

Craig Williams‍ and Crosby outscored Jasper 42-36 with Williams accounting for five of his team's six touchdowns in the game. Williams had 167 yards rushing and four touchdowns on the ground and added three catches for 35 yards and one touchdown through the air.

Jackson Kimble‍  and Southlake dropped a game to Arlington Martin 33-50.

Kalon Barnes‍  and Silsbee lost to Newton 17-41. Barnes returned a punt 45 yard for a touchdown.

Christoph Henle‍ and Oak Ridge won 45-0.

Ben Sims‍ and Clark lost to Roosevelt 48-49, but the 6-5 250 tight end had three receptions for 88 yards and two touchdowns. The touchdowns were from 17 and 55 yards out.

Bralen Taylor‍ and Cuero defeated Yoakum 41-17. The 6-8 Taylor had one carry for five yards and two receptions for 11 yards.

Marje Smith‍ and Marshall lost to Longview 7-41.

Christian Morgan‍ and Porter lost to Brazosport 37-41. Morgan had one reception for 26 yards and 36 yards on kick return.

JT Woods‍ and Cibolo Steele lost to Lake Travis 31-34.

Casey Phillips‍, who missed the contest due to injury, and Franklin lost to Caldwell 42-57.
