Baylor Volleyball Adds Three to 2024 Roster
WACO, Texas – Baylor volleyball head coach Ryan McGuyre has announced the addition of three student-athletes to the 2024 roster, released Wednesday.
Graduate transfers Jackie Barrett Frazier and Jennifer Bolden and freshman Emelyn Stettin join the squad ahead of the Bears’ June foreign tour to Austria, Hungary, Italy and Slovenia.
Frazier, a setter, comes to Waco via Auburn University. A four-year player for the Tigers, Frazier finished with 3,070 assists and 81 aces, with 165 career kills. She also raked in 226 total blocks with 818 digs. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Global Studies and Human Sciences and her master’s in Administration of Supervision and Curriculum. She will be working toward earning a master’s in Theology and Sport Studies from Baylor. The Highland, Calif., native married fellow Auburn Tiger Brandon Frazier, a tight end on the football team, on May 3.
Bolden comes to Baylor after a four-year career at Howard University. The right-side hitter finished her time with the Bison having accumulated 648 kills, 99 digs and 97 blocks. While at Howard, she earned All-Academic honors, MEAC Rookie of the Year, MEAC Player of the Week, MEAC All-Tournament First Team and was a member of the 2021 MEAC Championship squad. The Los Angeles, Calif., native graduated with her bachelor’s in Health Sciences from Howard and will be working toward earning her master’s of Medical Science from Baylor.
Stettin, a setter, comes from Elmhurst, Ill., where she was an AVCA High School All-American for the 2023-24 season. The three-year varsity player at York High School owns school records in single-season aces and the record for career aces for the Dukes, breaking the single-season record three years in a row with 290 (2021-22), 291 (2022-23) and 320 (2023-24), finishing with 901 aces overall. Stettin was named Second Team Illinois All-State in 2023 and her squad finished 25-12 overall on the season. Stettin will be studying Chemistry on the Pre-Med track at Baylor and is a University Scholar.
