“Enjoyed visiting Coach Dave Aranda and the rest of the coaching staff,” he said. “The culture is a perfect fit. Looking forward to getting back on campus.”
Griffin was the first offer Jake Spavital sent out after losing longtime commit Adam Schobel to Oklahoma State a month ago. Griffin immediately became the priority for the staff in the 2025 class which led to his offer on May 10th.
The Unanimous Overall District 6-6A MVP helped lead Coppell to a 12-1 record this past season. He completed 74% of his passes for 3,556 yards and 48 touchdowns with just three interceptions.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound prospect has put together a really strong 7-on-7 season and exceled at the Elite 11 Regional in March. He won the Pannini Accuracy Challenge at the Elite 11 Regional by three points as he solidified himsef as a top performer at the event.
Currently he holds offers from Marshall, UTSA, UTEP, North Texas, and McNeese State.
Griffin is an unranked prospect by all national sites at the moment but that should change after his impressive spring and commitment to Baylor.
