Richland Four-Star Running Back Michael Turner Jr. Commits to Baylor
Richland (TX) High School running back Michael Turner has committed to Baylor over TCU, Washington, Utah, SMU, and Oklahoma State. He becomes commit No. 17 and the second four-star running back in the class joining Caden Knighten.
BAYLOR 2025 RECRUITING COMMITMENT LIST
Baylor running backs coach Khenon Hall has been his lead recruiter throughout the process as he made the four-star target a major priority in his first recruiting class since arriving at Baylor.
The goal for this class was to add two four-star talents for next season, which happened with Turner and Knighten. Both bring exceptional speed in the open field along with the make-you-miss stuff that this offense needs to create big plays in the run game. Turner’s ability as a pass catcher is also very intriguing and a differentiating factor in his game.
Turner posted 1,668 yards and 23 touchdowns on 213 carries to go along with 131 yards and two touchdowns through the air during his junior season at Richland. As a sophomore, the Texas District 5-5A D-I first-team selection ran for 849 yards and 12 touchdowns on 100 carries.
The 6-foot-0, 190-pound prospect also held offers from Oklahoma, Oregon, Florida, Duke, Washington, Missouri, TCU, Utah, SMU, and Oklahoma State among many others.
He is currently rated as a consensus four-star prospect by every national site with his highest ranking coming on On3 where he is the No. 82 player in the entire country.
Baylor jumps to No. 28 in the 247 Composite Team Rankings following Turner’s commitment.
