Honey Grove High School running back Ryelan Morris has committed to Baylor following VIB Day in Waco. He becomes commit No. 2 in the 2026 class and the second running back joining Davis Penn.
BAYLOR 2026 RECRUITING COMMITMENT LIST
Baylor running back’s coach Khenon Hall was the first to offer Morris when he was at SMU then he became the first offer by Hall once he got to Baylor.
The 5-foot-9, 160-pound running back ran for 1,754 yards and 32 touchdowns this past season to go along with 888 yards and 10 touchdowns passing.
He committed to Baylor over offers from Oregon, Oklahoma, TCU, USC, SMU, Miami, and Oklahoma State among others.
Morris is a composite top 150 prospect in the 2026 class and is a consensus four-star prospect across every national site.
I'm thinking a major change is highly unlikely, considering the huge investment in the current support staff. It would take another catastrophic dumpster fire season. Not saying that can't happen, though.BBWCBear said:

Not trying to throw cold water on this, but any more it's hard to get overly excited about verbal commitments - especially one this far in the future - with the way NIL era recruits de-commit and flip the minute a higher bidder shows up. At most I view this kind of thing as the recruit publicly stating we're his favorite as of today, but who knows what will happen when signing day comes.
