Baylor Adds Palmer Ridge (CO) Kicker Rhett Armstrong Over Tennessee
Monument (CO) Palmer Ridge 2025 kicker Rhett Armstrong has committed to Baylor over Tennessee. Special Teams Quality Control Coach Mark Scott offered the preferred walk-on prospect on July 19th and made the decision quickly.
“The relationships I’ve built with the staff are incredible; I can really see myself playing for coach Dave Aranda and what he stands for,” he said. “The people at Baylor are some of the best I’ve met in my college search, and the energy around the football program created by the 2025 recruits is unmatched.”
The plan is for Armstrong to enroll this January as a preferred walk-on and then be on scholarship for the fall of 2025.
Armstrong is 9-for-12 on field goals during his career with a long of 40 yards. He went 69-for-70 on extra points and posted an 85% touchback rate this past season.
According to Kornblue Kicking, he is rated as a five-star prospect and the No. 1 kicker in the nation.
