Dude is a legit field flipping weapon. Combine that with what looks like it might be a legit defense and we can win some games if we score a few points.
He was punt god-esque today. Dude averaged 62.7 yards per punt with two inside the 20.

It's depressing seeing former doormats in our conference have success i.e. Iowa State and Kansas, and seeing a former juggernaut in our conference (BU) turn into a doormat. Thanks Mack and Dave

So many whiners right to the very end. Look at the stats. Two huge mistakes in the first quarter. If Utah is a top ten team then we played a great game on defense. I do agree that DQ does not give us much of anything on offense which is way more than a little concerning. This loss will not be the difference maker in changing the head coach.

This coach has a history of making bad QB decisions.

On that last punt he was a few inches away from having right at the goal line. He's got magic in that leg.

Special Teams: A (Punter is incredible!)
Defense: B+ (we will be in more games this year because of this u it)
Offense: D (very good defense made us look very bad…we may be very bad…)

I think special teams has to get a C+. I mean they allowed a block field goal and a TD. Anytime special team allows a TD that is worst case scenario. In this case that's a -10 point play and we lost by 11 (shouldve been 10, but Aranda). The punter gets an A+.

Nothing about this offense is 'up-tempo spread offense'. The indecision was constant. I think we need a QB change ASAP, but that will probably be slow as well.

Hankins also made two field goals -- both in the 40-45 yard range and kicked off well. The block was really bad. And should push it down a grade. But when you take all factors into account, including Cameron's work as the punt returner, it was a solid B at worst.

Everyone can feel a glimmer of hope, but realistically, Rhoades needs to actively search for a new HC. As long as Dave is here Baylor's pinnacle will be a 6-6 season. Baylor currently isn't a P4 team in a P4 conference.

Yeahhhh pump that sunshine. All week we heard about how overhyped Utah was and how Finn looked bad last game solely because of the game plan. Now the target has shifted. Narrative gets changed every week with the sunshine crew.

I don't want Rhodes hiring another coach, it's clear he can't pick them, he needs to be washed out with Dave even though we know he won't until the boosters realize he's wasting their money.

What the **** are you talking about? Seriously. Your schtick is annoying as ****.

The consensus here is that Finn was really bad today and will be throttler on our season if he doesn't improve and quickly. Who the hell are you even arguing with at this point?

But it's possible to admit that our offense needs serious work while acknowledging legitimate positives in other phases.

Baylor football is frustrating enough right now without some ******* on the internet making it his duty to sap every bit of joy that it brings to other people -- all of whom are pretty down on the current product to begin with. Get a damn life, man.

We were extremely vanilla against Tarleton State. It was one of the first things Huard pointed out on today's broadcast.

Today's issue was different. We weren't capable of running our offense, which is much worse. But the Utah defense had a lot to do with that. If we look like this the next two weeks, it will be time to hit the panic button.

I don't expect us to be great on offense at any point this season. But I expect us to look competent against most of the defenses we have left on our schedule. I'll be disappointed if we don't. We just played one of the two good defenses on our schedule. And several of those remaining are downright bad.

JMO, but I think Shapen did all he could do at BU, and wanted out. Mississippi State offense will give him a new lease on life.

It is always nice if you can remove bad plays and just keep the good ones. If you do not make bad plays, you are not a bad team. It also likely that the opponent had a good play.

They made good plays which were out bad plays so they won.

You can't remove half the equation.

With the current roster not sure. However, the right amount of NIL $$$ can overcome roster deficiencies..

Dave's problem has been consistent throughout his time at Baylor. He thinks too much and creates issues where they don't need to exist. Just be a normal football coach. Please.

Put together a sound game plan, prepare your team and don't try to reinvent the wheel in game. You don't have to play psychologist during the week or statistician during the game. Prepare the team to execute and put it in positions to succeed. That's what successful coaching is.

I think that's fair. The first half was a Murphy's Law half for sure. I was ready to throw something through the wall late in the first quarter.

But I was pleased with the way we competed after halftime. We'll see if it matters going forward.

This made me laugh out loud. Is it too much for us to have a normal football coach?

Being different and quirky can be endearing if it's like Mike Leach...but Aranda's a different kind of different for a head coach.
Daveisabovereproach
How long do you want to ignore this user?
He's just saying what he thinks people want him to say. Last year he got called out for being too stoic. As I've said before, Aranda knows how to read the room and make changes, it's usually just a year too late

Or if we had had another HC at the helm, there is no way he would have screwed up the Transfer Portal or the NIL so badly. You have to add that into the mix
