Gilbert (AZ) Perry High School 2025 forward Koa Peat will be taking an official visit to Baylor this weekend.
Peat is a consensus five-star prospect across all national recruiting sites and is a top-five overall prospect in the 2025 class per composite rankings. The 6-foot-8 forward has already made official visits to Arkansas, Arizona, Arizona State, Houston and Texas.
The back-to-back Gatorade Arizona Player of the Year averaged 20.5 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.2 blocks and 1.0 steals per game as he helped lead Perry to a second-straight Open State Tournament Championship.
He also won a gold medal with the United States at the FIBA Under-17 World Cup while averaging 9.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 20.1 minutes per game.
Earlier this month, head coach Scott Drew received a commitment from five-star Santa Maria (CA) St. Joseph wing Tounde Yessoufou. Yessoufou was a consensus top 20 prospect in the nation.
Landing Peat would give the Bears back-to-back five-star commitments in the 2025 class and vault Baylor toward the top of 247’s team recruiting rankings.
