I was starting to be somewhat impressed with the announcers until one of them said "Baylor really is improving / tightening up on 3rd down defense".

We are 89th in the FBS in 3rd down conversions allowed..

Yes. We make some big plays because we have some talented players. We make boneheaded plays because none of these kids have been groomed in the fundamentals, which is 100% on the worst staff in the Big 12.

But it looks pretty stupid when you do it after making no attempt to find the ball and avoiding a PI call by sheer luck.

#11 gave absolutely zero effort to help out matt jones on that goal line tackle. zero. shouldn't even have been close if the dude moved and freakin foot forward.
