Ten Things: Baylor At Houston
Baylor travels to Houston and faces the Cougars with a chance to stay alive in the Big 12 Championship while Houston looks to keep bowl hopes alive. Here are at least ten things which stood out during the game
- Ummmm.... the receiver isn’t wearing blue...
- Great play by Devyn Bobby to erase the mistake by Robertson
- Baylor is more physical on both sides of the ball and dictating early
- Houston doesn’t have an answer for Trigg
- Robertson is playing his worst game against the coach who knows his weaknesses
- Great throws on this drive to calm the nerves and put Baylor back on top
- Treven Ma'ae has improved so much this season and is playing with an edge
- Not sure what Houston is seeing, but the Cougars have run a screen three times where Baylor’s LB/Star/Edge bailed out into opposite side zone
- Several plays now Baylor’s defense isn’t ready for the snap and Houston has capitalized on those plays
- Baylor may lead the nation in broken hands/fingers/casts for the defense
- Baylor’s offense needs a long drive with the ball in their first possession of the 4th quarter as the Bears have allowed Houston to control the clock in the third quarter, leaving the Bears defense on the field for over 11 minutes
- The offense has decided to do jack squat in the second half, 2 possessions, 6 plays, negative yards
- Keaton Thomas completed the assignment and got the ball back. Offense needs to do something with it
- Offense went back to what worked and then the dumb penalties, but a great special teams play to stop the punt at the 4
- Snaxx with the casted hand INT to give Baylor’s offense a chance to put the game away
- If you can’t trust Hankins from 51 yards out, who can you trust?
- Good to still be in the Big 12 Championship hunt and sweep the Texas conference teams and hearing BU BU BU BU over the microphones
