Podcast & Thoughts: No. 17 Baylor 91 New Orleans 60

Positives

• Jayden Nunn (23 points; 7-10 3pt; 4 assists; 2 steals) and Jeremy Roach (17 points; 8 assists) were terrific.  The best number was zero turnovers combined.  
• Death, taxes, Norchad Omier double double (12 points and 13 rebounds).  He sets the tone every game.  
• Great to see Langston Love get 27 minutes and get into the flow of the game.  He ended up with only 7 points and 4 rebounds but he looked like a guy ready for prime time with his ball movement, defense and court awareness.  
• Rob Wright (18 points; 4 assists) and Jalen Celestine were solid in their roles.  

Concerns

• Josh Ojianwuna’s motor, he made a few good plays but not playing anywhere close to the motor and energy that we need.  
• VJ Edgecombe looked fine in the first half and was his normal energetic self but he didn’t play in the second half.  I assume pre-cautionary.  
• I was told Jason Asemota didn’t want to go in the game at the end.  I have no idea what that was about.   Something to monitor.  
• A little sloppy in garbage time.  Shot selection and defense didn’t finish strong.
