Commit Highlights: Murphy and Morris Each Post Six Touchdowns

Coppell QB Edward Griffin‍ lost to North Crowley 35-24 in the third round of playoffs. He finished 16-of-26 for 221 yards and one interception. 

The Bolles School (FL) WR Chase Collier‍ lost to Gadsden County 21-9 in the quarterfinals of the 2A FHSAA playoffs. He posted three catches for 20 yards.

Chapel Hill ATH Demetrius Brisbon‍ beat Stafford 28-3 in the third round of playoffs. He completed his only pass for 28 yards and a touchdown. He also ran the ball three times for eight yards.

• Chapel Hill (10-3) will take on Kilgore (11-2) in the quarterfinals in the Texas 4A D1 playoffs.

Westlake TE Brody Wilhelm‍ beat Buda Johnson 52-14 in the third round of playoffs. He posted four catches for 40 yards and a touchdown.

• Westlake (12-1) will face Lake Travis (12-1) in the quarterfinals of the Texas 6A D1 playoffs.

Iowa Colony EDGE/DE Christopher Johnson‍ beat Fort Bend Marshall 31-2 in the third round of the playoffs. He posted two tackles, one for loss, a sack and three QB hurries.

• Iowa Colony (12-1) will take on Randle (13-0) in the quarterfinals of the Texas 5A D2 playoffs.

South Oak Cliff EDGE Kamauryn Morgan‍ beat Marshall 35-7 in the third round of the playoffs. He had one tackle and two QB hurries.

• South Oak Cliff (11-2) will face Port Neches-Grove (12-1) in the quarterfinals of the Texas 5A D2 playoffs.

Klein Collins LB Trent Spence‍ lost to Longview 42-28 in the third round of playoffs. He remains out with an injury.

Hebron LB/S Bo Onu‍ lost to Southlake Carroll 42-37 in the third round of the playoffs.

Gunter S Colin Peacock‍ beat Jacksboro 44-14 in the third round of playoffs. He had four catches for 93 yards and a touchdown.

• Gunter (11-2) will face Holliday (11-2) in the quarterfinals of the Texas 3A D2 playoffs.

Liberty Christian 2026 QB Quinn Murphy‍ beat St. Thomas 63-0 in the Semifinals of the TAPPS 6A playoffs. He was 15-of-24 for 224 yards and five touchdowns. He also added 57 yards and a score on the ground.

• Liberty Christian (11-1) will take on Parish Episcopal (9-4) in the TAPPS 6A State Championship.

Southlake Carroll 2026 RB Davis Penn‍ beat Hebron 42-37 in the third round of playoffs. He is done for the rest of the season after suffering an ACL injury last week.

• Southlake Carroll (13-0) will face Denton Guyer (10-3) in the quarterfinals of the Texas 6A D2 playoffs.

Honey Grove 2026 RB Ryelan Morris‍ beat Waskom 54-29. He posted 333 yards rushing and six touchdowns. He also threw for 60 yards and an interception.

• Honey Grove (12-1) will take on Joaquin (9-4) in the quarterfinals of the Texas 2A D1 playoffs.

Season Over

Richland RB Michael Turner‍ is done for the season with an injury. In two games before his injury, he posted 160 yards of total offense and four touchdowns on 31 touches.

Red Oak WR Taz Williams‍ is done for the year with a meniscus injury. In two games before his injury, he finished with 216 yards and two touchdowns on 16 touches.

Lorena DL Jackson Blackwell‍ finished the season 2-8. He totaled 62 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, five sacks, one forced fumble and three blocked punts.

Shadow Creek WR Ashton Jones‍ lost to Fort Bend Elkins 31-28 in the first round of the playoffs. He finished the season with 429 yards and five touchdowns on 24 receptions.

Shadow Creek WR Jacorey Watson‍ lost to Fort Bend Elkins 31-28 in the first round of the playoffs. He finished the season with nine receptions for 122 yards and two touchdowns.

Columbia (MS) OL Harrison Cluff‍ lost to Poplerville 21-20 in the second round of the MHSAA playoffs.

Jackson Prep (MS) OL Matthew Parker‍ lost to Hartfield Academy 19-14 in the MAIS 6A State Championship Game.

Byron Nelson CB Leo Almanza‍ lost to North Crowley 56-21 in the first round of playoffs. He finished with 46 receptions for 737 yards and 10 touchdowns. 

Cy Falls LB Kaleb Burns‍ lost to Katy 49-20 in the second round of playoffs. He finished with 73 tackles, 17 for loss, seven sacks, seven QB hurries, two interceptions, six PBUs, four fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and two defensive touchdowns.

Pauls Valley (OK) RB Caden Knighten‍ lost to Lincoln Christian 49-7 in the second round of playoffs. He finished his season with 1,883 rushing yards, 617 receiving yards and 38 total touchdowns.
