Ohio State Cornerback Calvin Simpson-Hunt Commits to Baylor

Ohio State cornerback Calvin Simpson-Hunt has committed to Baylor following his official visit this week. He becomes the first cornerback addition for the Bears this transfer portal cycle and the first overall commitment for new Baylor cornerbacks coach Paul Gonzales.

TRANSFER PORTAL COMMITMENT LIST

The 6-foot-0, 190-pound prospect redshirted as a true freshman in 2023 before becoming a big part of the Buckeyes special teams unit in 2024. He ended his career with the Buckeyes with just four total tackles and six defensive snaps.

Simpson-Hunt was a consensus four-star prospect and top 100 recruit in the 2023 class. His highest ranking came on On3, which listed him as the No. 36 overall prospect.

He held an elite offer list from Ohio State, Baylor, LSU, Alabama, Texas, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Florida, Nebraska, TCU and Texas Tech, among others.

He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
