Positives

  • There was lots of poise from VJ Edgecombe (28 points; 5 assists) and Rob Wright III (22 points; 6 assists), they played their hearts out in a tough environment.
  • Josh Ojianwuna (Jr.) gave Baylor a good game after three duds in a row (9 points; 7 rebounds; block; 2 steals)
  • Jayden Nunn (Sr.) makes winning plays; he had a solid game. I hate that he missed his two free throws.

Not Good

  • The defense was lacking. I understand, given the depth, but Baylor took a step back defensively tonight. We gave up a whopping 1.33 points per possession. It's hard to win games with that. Some of it was just great offense from BYU.
  • Norchad Omier (Sr.), woof. He was not good. From the first dumb foul to the last one. He made a ton of mental mistakes in this game. The stats were okay, but everyone watching (including himself) will want to flush this effort.
  • Jalen Celestine (Sr.) needs to give more; he made two early 3s, which was awesome. But then just played so tentative on both ends of the floor.

Let’s get Jeremy Roach (Sr.) back and start playing better basketball.
