Dallas (TX) South Oak Cliff 2026 linebacker Jamarion Phillips‍ has committed to Baylor. He becomes commit No. 6 and the first linebacker commit in the Bears' 2026 recruiting class.

BAYLOR 2026 RECRUITING COMMITMENT LIST

Last season, the 6-foot-1, 220-pound prospect posted 90 tackles, six for loss, three sacks, an interception and a forced fumble. As a sophomore, he finished with 95 tackles, 23 for loss and 14 sacks.

Baylor has valued this recruitment heavily for well over a year, and the Bears went all in on it for one of the top linebackers in the nation.

Phillips is one of the most severely underrated players in the 2026 class. His offer list includes Florida State, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Texas A&M and TCU, among many others. His composite ranking is No. 698 in the nation and No. 95 in Texas.
