Head coach Nicki Collen and Baylor have landed Auburn guard Yuting Deng out of the transfer portal. Deng becomes the third transfer portal addition, joining North Dakota forward Kiera Pemberton and Auburn guard Taliah Scott.
Deng, a 6-foot-0 guard, played in 12 games for Auburn this season, with eight starts. She averaged 11.8 points per game on 38% shooting from the field, 37% from beyond the arc and 85% from the free-throw line. She also averaged 2.5 rebounds and 0.4 assists on 28.2 minutes per game.
Deng competed for China’s U24 national team in FIBA 3x3 competition and was ranked as the 27th-best player in China. Deng is a rising sophomore and has three years of eligibility remaining.
