WACO, Texas — Baylor football has announced six of its seven game themes for the 2025 season, which includes several color outs and calls to action for fan participation this season.

The Bears will host Samford on Sept. 13 during Baylor University’s Family Weekend. In addition, the team will commemorate Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and recognize local community kids who are in the fight.

Baylor will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month during the Bears’ conference home opener vs. Arizona State on Sept. 20 with a Vamos Osos theme. The Bears will bring a Hispanic flair to in-stadium music and performances in the match-up against the reigning Big 12 Champion Sun Devils.

The Bears will also host a Goldout on Oct. 4 vs. Kansas State, continuing its Go Gold initiative across all Baylor athletics events. Licensed vendors continue to expand their gold collections each year to provide options for the Baylor Family.

Sailor Bear will return for the Bears’ homecoming matchup vs. UCF on Nov. 1. Fans are encouraged to come spend Homecoming weekend and enjoy the on-campus festivities: Pigskin Revue, Homecoming bonfire, the country’s oldest homecoming parade and so much more.

On Nov. 15, Baylor will honor the service of our military men and women for Salute to Service. Fans are encouraged to wear all white for the matchup vs. Utah and celebrate our service members.

In the regular-season finale on Nov. 29 vs. Houston, the Bears honor its seniors on Senior Day as well as invite the Waco and the surrounding communities to McLane Stadium for 254 Day.

The Aug. 29 season opener vs. Auburn’s game theme will be announced separately on Monday, June 9.

BUTTON CONTEST:
In addition to all the festivities, the Bears also bring back the 2025 fan button contest, which will feature seven different designs designed by the Baylor Family for each home game on the Brazos.

To enter your design for consideration, create a design that fits a 3-inch diameter circle and email to Fan_Engagement@baylor.edu and indicate which game theme it fits. A template is available here for usage.

Blackout in August is a terrible decision. Even worse than a whiteout in November.

How about whiteout when it's 100 degrees outside and blackout when it's cold.

because we dont know kick time for Utah. U dont want to schedule a black out and it be a day game. Thats dumb. We know auburn is a night game. Its nationally televised. Its opening weekend. Biggest non con game in mclane history. Black out gets fans excited more than ever.

But if course baylor fans loves to ***** and moan and find a reason to not go

why do you hate your school colors that have existed for over 100 years?

Do you yell this the rest of the year when every other sport does a gold out? What about vs mbb who has worn all.gold, the exact same shade we have now, for decades? Or baseball?
