Head coach Dave Aranda announced on Saturday that junior running back Dawson Pendergrass will miss the entire 2025 season after sustaining a foot injury in fall camp.

The 6-foot-2, 234-pound prospect totaled 774 yards of offense with seven touchdowns during his strong sophomore season and was slated to be a key part of the Bears' one-two punch in the run game with Preseason All-American Bryson Washington.

Turner and DP are really good players. Turner was trending to be a top 3 player on our defense at a huge position of need. Pendergrass might be one of the 10 best backup rbs in the entire country.

The roster is pretty talented but losing two top 50 type players in the big 12 would be a setback for any team.

Bummer about DP and hope to get him back healthy next season. But looking forward t seeing the new guys step up.
