Four-Star Running Back Ryelan Morris Flips Commitment Back to Baylor
Honey Grove (TX) High School running back Ryelan Morris has flipped his commitment back to Baylor. He becomes commit No. 17 in the Bears' 2026 recruiting class, and he is the lone running back commit.
BAYLOR 2026 RECRUITING COMMITMENT LIST
Morris initially committed to the Bears on July 24, 2024, and remained committed for 10 months before flipping to Stanford this past June.
Baylor running backs coach Khenon Hall was the first to offer Morris when he was at SMU, and then he became the first offer from Hall once he got to Baylor.
Hall continued to prioritize his top running back in the class and was able to get him to take an unofficial visit for the Bears' win over Kansas State on Oct. 4. That trip was instrumental in making this flip happen.
The 5-foot-9, 165-pound prospect is one of the most productive recruits you will ever see at the high school level. In 37 career games, he has posted nearly 8,000 total yards of offense and 119 total touchdowns while playing quarterback and running back.
He holds offers from Oregon, Oklahoma, TCU, USC, SMU, Miami and Oklahoma State, among others.
Morris is a composite top 250 prospect in the 2026 class and is a consensus four-star prospect across every national site.
His commitment pushes Baylor into the No. 25 overall spot in 247Sports Team Recruiting Rankings
