INDIANAPOLIS – Head coach Scott Drew and Baylor men’s basketball are set for a preseason, exhibition showdown against Darian DeVries and the Indiana Hoosiers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 12 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed on Big10+.

Gonna be a work in progress. Gonna have to learn to communicate better on D, although that's not surprising when you have an entire team which hasn't played together. I was at the Grand Canyon scrimmage and watched this.

-Carr finished with 18 points and 9 boards, also had 3 blocks and 2 steals.

-Skillings had 13
-Yessoufou with 12, but only 3-12 from the field. 9 rebounds
-Rataj with 12, but only 3-12 from the field also. He did grab 8 rebounds

-Agbim, 2 points on 1-8 from the field.


Carr and Skillings have been pleasant surprises.
Very concerned on how poorly Rataj and Agbim have shot the ball the first two scrimmages as they were supposed to be explosive offensively.

As a team:

-We shot 40% from the floor, 33% from 3 (8-24)
-We outrebounded IU by a large margin 44-25 (Carr and Yessoufou with 9, Rataj 8)
- We committed 16 TOs with Rataj committing 5 of those and Carr 4.

-IU shot 43.9% from the floor, but only 25% (6-24) from 3.
-They committed 9 TOs

No biggie as it was just an exhibition game that doesn't count in the standings - but for the record IU is in the same boat as us regarding having a whole new roster.

The coach's son and the kid who transferred from Sam Houston both looked pretty good. They are gonna have the same issue we're gonna have - need more quality depth. In fact 4 of the starting five played 30+ minutes and the only reason they didn't play all 40 is that Wilkerson and Conerway both fouled out.

Yes. Misstated on my part. Was trying to show what it would be like in a regular game. I should have been more clear.
