Welcome to the 2025 post-week 9 edition of the SicEm365 Premium “Big 12 Power Poll”. Over the last few days, the awesome members of our Premium Forums had access to a simple form to rank the football teams of the Big 12 however they saw fit heading into week 10 of the 2025 season.

Here are the results:

The biggest movers this week were Houston and Arizona State. The Cougars jumped not only up three spots to No. 5 in our Power Poll but also into the AP top 25 to No. 22 in the nation ahead of their matchup with West Virginia. Houston is now 7-1 overall and 4-1 in Big 12 play.

The Sun Devils fell three spots to No. 6 in the Power Poll because of their 24-16 loss to the Cougars in Tempe last week. ASU also fell out of the AP top 25 due to the loss.

Three quarters of the Big 12 changed spots in the Power Poll this week, with only the top two — BYU and Texas Tech — and the bottom two — West Virginia and Oklahoma State — staying put.

For a closer look at how perceptions of each team have changed throughout the season, take a look at the “Week by Week” graph below.

Some journeys to highlight as you look at the week-by-week graphic above are obviously Baylor's precipitous fall, Cincinnati’s steady climb and Houston’s late surge. Kansas State has a shot to have the craziest path through the season if it beats Texas Tech on Saturday and finishes with a couple more wins and a strong showing against Utah in a couple of weeks.

Also, if you’re someone who likes to dabble in simple statistics, I pulled the min, max and mode for each team. That is the top rank, bottom rank and most common ranking. I did not remove the top 5% and bottom 5% of placements for best, worst and most common here (but I did for the average rank, so sorry for any confusion).

This week total responses fell yet again this time from 24 last week to 21 this week. The lack of interest in this project makes sense as a potential coaching change is all that is on anyone’s minds around Baylor. Either way, that is the lowest number of responses this season, so keep that in mind as you peruse the data.

Now, if you want even more numbers, I’ve got them. How about the differences between the post-week 8 rankings and the post-week 9 rankings?

With all of those numbers and charts and graphs provided to you, where do you draw the lines for tiers in the Big 12? Which teams are the premium members underestimating or overestimating currently?

One last question: how did the staff of SicEm365.com do with their rankings this week? Below is the full breakdown of our individual responses to the poll.

Let us know what you think in the comments, and for you premium members, look out for the next Big 12 Power Poll on Sunday, November 2nd!
