Commit Highlights: Narrow Losses End the Season for Multiple Commits

Offense:
Trophy Club TE Parker Almanza lost to Denton Guyer 24-21 in the regional semifinal of the Texas 6A D2 playoffs. Almanza finished 22-of-31 for 221 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. He also added 31 yards and a score on the ground.

Holmes County (MS) OL Donel Robinson lost to West Point, 20-6, in the state semifinals of the Mississippi 5A playoffs.
Lone Star 2027 ATH Karece Hoyt beat North Mesquite, 42-21, in the regional semifinal of the Texas 5A D1 playoffs. He posted 68 yards and three touchdowns on nine carries. He also added eight tackles on defense.
Lone Star (13-0) will face Highland Park (12-1) in the regional final of the Texas 5A D1 playoffs.
Defense:
South Oak Cliff LB Jamarion Phillips beat Terrell, 45-17, in the regional semifinal of the Texas 5A D2 playoffs. He finished with seven tackles
South Oak Cliff (12-1) will take on Port Neches-Grove (13-0) in the regional final.
Pleasant Grove CB Jamarion Richardson lost to Carthage, 34-20, in the regional semifinal of the Texas 4A D2 playoffs. He totaled 33 yards on seven touches.
Season Over
Liberty Christian QB Quinn Murphy lost to Prestonwood Christian, 49-34, in the second round of the TAPPS 6A playoffs. Liberty Christian finished 8-4 on the season. He threw for 3,152 yards with 40 touchdown passes and five interceptions while completing 57% of his passes. He also added 607 yards and six touchdowns on the ground. Murphy finished his career with 168 passing touchdowns, which is third all-time in Texas High School Football history.
Honey Grove RB Ryelan Morris lost to Joaquin, 41-8, in the second round of the Texas 2A D1 playoffs. Honey Grove finished 10-2 on the season. He totaled 2,109 yards and 30 touchdowns on the ground while averaging 11.8 yards per carry. He also added 295 yards and five touchdowns receiving. His high school career comes to an end with 8,289 total yards of offense and 124 total touchdowns.
University WR London Smith lost to Bastrop, 69-42, in the second round of the Texas 5A D2 playoffs. University finished 7-5. He finished his elite senior season with 79 receptions for 1,455 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also added 135 yards and two scores on the ground. On special teams and defense, he added a kickoff return touchdown and two interceptions.
San Antonio Madison WR Jordan Clay lost to Harlan, 56-24, in the first round of the Texas 6A D2 playoffs. Madison finished 3-8 on the season. He finished with over 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns on around 50 receptions.
Lake Belton WR Davion Peters lost to Highland Park, 56-13, in the first round of the Texas 5A D1 playoffs. Lake Belton ended the season 5-6. He finished the season with 722 yards and nine touchdowns on 36 receptions to go along with 172 yards and a score on the ground. He was the punter as well, and eight of his 15 kicks were downed inside the 20-yard line.
Orem (UT) TE Kai Wesley beat Springville (UT), 42-7, in the Utah 5A State Championship game. He finished his season with 401 yards and five touchdowns on 21 receptions.
North Forney OL Marcus Page lost to Waxahachie, 37-20, in the second round of the 6A D1 playoffs. North Forney finished 10-2 on the season.
Mesquite Horn OL Kole Seaton finished the season 2-7 and did not make the playoffs.
Santa Fe (OK) DL JaeLin Battle finished the season 1-9 and did not make the playoffs. He totaled 82 tackles, 17 for loss, 13.5 sacks, 10 QB hurries and six pass breakups in 10 games this year.
Woodlawn (LA) EDGE Tyrone Morgan finished 4-6 and did not make the playoffs. He totaled 30 tackles, 17 for loss, 12.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and four pass breakups.
HSAA S Jordan Davis beat NLSA, 62-20, in the THIL state championship game. In seven games, he posted 241 yards and four touchdowns on offense, along with 78 tackles, seven for loss, two sacks, two interceptions and five forced fumbles on defense.
University 2027 S Davontrae Kirkland is out for the season with an injury. He finished with 32 tackles, four for loss, four sacks, three QB hurries, one interception and three forced fumbles in just four games played.
