Offense:

Lone Star 2027 ATH Karece Hoyt‍ beat Highland Park, 58-38, in the regional final of the Texas 5A D1 playoffs. He posted 19 yards and four touchdowns on nine carries. He also added four tackles and a pass breakup on defense.

Lone Star (14-0) will face Aledo (14-0) in the state semifinals of the Texas 5A D1 playoffs.


Defense:

South Oak Cliff LB Jamarion Phillips‍ beat Port Neches-Grove, 28-0, in the regional final of the Texas 5A D2 playoffs. He had a pass breakup and an interception.

South Oak Cliff (13-1) will take on Melissa (11-2) in the state semifinals of the Texas 5A D2 playoffs


Season Over

Liberty Christian QB Quinn Murphy‍ lost to Prestonwood Christian, 49-34, in the second round of the TAPPS 6A playoffs. Liberty Christian finished 8-4 on the season. He threw for 3,152 yards with 40 touchdown passes and five interceptions while completing 57% of his passes. He also added 607 yards and six touchdowns on the ground. Murphy finished his career with 168 passing touchdowns, which is third all-time in Texas High School Football history.

Honey Grove RB Ryelan Morris‍ lost to Joaquin, 41-8, in the second round of the Texas 2A D1 playoffs. Honey Grove finished 10-2 on the season. He totaled 2,109 yards and 30 touchdowns on the ground while averaging 11.8 yards per carry. He also added 295 yards and five touchdowns receiving. His high school career comes to an end with 8,289 total yards of offense and 124 total touchdowns.

University WR London Smith‍ lost to Bastrop, 69-42, in the second round of the Texas 5A D2 playoffs. University finished 7-5. He finished his elite senior season with 79 receptions for 1,455 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also added 135 yards and two scores on the ground. On special teams and defense, he added a kickoff return touchdown and two interceptions.

Lake Belton WR Davion Peters‍ lost to Highland Park, 56-13, in the first round of the Texas 5A D1 playoffs. Lake Belton ended the season 5-6. He finished the season with 722 yards and nine touchdowns on 36 receptions to go along with 172 yards and a score on the ground. He was the punter as well, and eight of his 15 kicks were downed inside the 20-yard line.

Trophy Club TE Parker Almanza‍ lost to Denton Guyer 24-21 in the regional semifinal of the Texas 6A D2 playoffs. Trophy Club finished 10-3 on the season. He threw for 2,920 yards with 33 touchdowns and eight interceptions while completing 65% of his passes. He also ran for 588 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Orem (UT) TE Kai Wesley‍ beat Springville (UT), 42-7, in the Utah 5A State Championship game. He finished his season with 401 yards and five touchdowns on 21 receptions.

Holmes County (MS) OL Donel Robinson‍ lost to West Point, 20-6, in the state semifinals of the Mississippi 5A playoffs. Holmes County finished 10-4.

Santa Fe (OK) DL JaeLin Battle‍ finished the season 1-9 and did not make the playoffs. He totaled 82 tackles, 17 for loss, 13.5 sacks, 10 QB hurries and six pass breakups in 10 games this year.

Woodlawn (LA) EDGE Tyrone Morgan‍ finished 4-6 and did not make the playoffs. He totaled 30 tackles, 17 for loss, 12.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and four pass breakups.

HSAA S Jordan Davis‍ beat NLSA, 62-20, in the THIL state championship game. In seven games, he posted 241 yards and four touchdowns on offense, along with 78 tackles, seven for loss, two sacks, two interceptions and five forced fumbles on defense.

Pleasant Grove CB Jamarion Richardson‍ lost to Carthage, 34-20, in the regional semifinal of the Texas 4A D2 playoffs. Pleasant Grove finished 11-2 on the season. He posted over 500 yards receiving and seven touchdowns to go along with over 100 yards rushing and two scores. On defense, he had one interception and one forced fumble.

University 2027 S Davontrae Kirkland‍ is out for the season with an injury. He finished with 32 tackles, four for loss, four sacks, three QB hurries, one interception and three forced fumbles in just four games played.
