Bears Boost Offense with Commitment from Dynamic Colorado WR Dre'lon Miller
2026 Baylor Football Transfer Portal Tracker
Colorado rising junior wide receiver Dre’lon Miller has committed to Baylor following his official visit. He becomes the second wide receiver commit for the Bears this portal cycle, joining Kentucky’s Hardley Gilmore.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound prospect has totaled 52 receptions for 435 yards and four touchdowns along with 144 yards and a score on the ground in two seasons at Colorado. Of his 435 receiving yards, 337 of those yards have come after the catch.
As a true freshman, he was fifth on the team in receiving yards behind four NFL players: Travis Hunter (first-round pick), Lajohnaty Wester (sixth-round pick), Jimmy Horn (sixth-round pick) and Will Sheppard (undrafted, signed with Packers).
This year, he got hurt early, and the offense was horrific in large part due to poor play at quarterback and offensive line. Colorado was 15th in the Big 12 in scoring offense and total offense, finishing with a 3-9 record.
He was a top 100 prospect in the nation out of Silsbee High School with 3,556 receiving yards and 46 touchdowns, along with 770 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.
Miller held offers from Miami, USC, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, TCU, Tennessee and Texas, among many others.
He has primarily been a slot so far in college, while also getting snaps at running back. His best attribute is his yards with the ball in his hands, whether it is after the catch or on a handoff.
Miller is electric with the football and would certainly give Baylor something unique in the room, plus he has a high ceiling to develop into a more complete prospect in the next year or two.
Look for Miller to be used in the slot, out wide, as a running back and as a return man. His versatility is something unique to Baylor’s current receiver room.
He has two years of eligibility remaining.
