Postgame Thoughts: Baylor’s Few Bright Spots Can’t Mask Concerns in Kansas Blowout

Baylor (11-6; 1-4) makes it competitive for a half. The Jayhawks (13-5; 3-2) pull away for an easy 80-62 win. Next up for the Bears is a game against Texas Tech on Tuesday in Waco.

Baylor men’s basketball (11-6, 1-4) was blown out by the Kansas Jayhawks (13-5, 3-2) on Friday night at Allen Fieldhouse, 80-62. Here are my post-game thoughts.

Positives

  • Great first-half efforts from Cam Carr (15 points) and Tounde Yessoufou (16 points). The Bears, after starting the game down 19-4, took a 37-36 lead and trailed Kansas by only six at the break.
  • The Bears fought on the glass.
  • Caden Powell plays with tremendous effort.
