IRVING, Texas – Baylor men’s basketball placed two players on the 2025-26 All-Big 12 teams, highlighted by Cameron Carr earning All-Big 12 Third Team and All-Newcomer Team honors, the conference announced Monday afternoon. Freshman Tounde Yessoufou also received recognition, landing on the All-Big 12 Honorable Mention list.
Carr made an immediate impact in his first season in Waco, emerging as one of Baylor’s most consistent contributors throughout the year. The redshirt-sophomore guard earned a spot on the All-Big 12 Third Team while also being named to the league’s All-Newcomer Team after ranking among the team leaders in points, averaging 19.0 per game.
The Eden Prairie, Minnesota, native had memorable moments with poster dunks and 14 games with 20-plus points. On the season, Carr shot with a 51.7 field goal percentage while averaging 5.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 blocks per game.
Yessoufou earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention after an impressive debut campaign. One of the conference’s notable freshmen, Yessoufou averaged 18.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.6 assists per game. The Cotonou, Benin native holds a season field goal percentage of 47.3.
The freshman guard has rewritten the record books for Baylor, breaking the all-time freshman points (557) field goals made (207) and field goals attempted (438) records. He is five steals away from breaking the freshman steals record with 64, looking to surpass VJ Edgecombe.
The duo of Carr and Yessoufou are the 63rd All-Big 12 Honorees underneath head coach Scott Drew, with Baylor earning end-of-year conference recognition every year underneath Drew’s helm.
