Baylor WBB Adds a Commitment from Ole Miss Transfer Tianna Thompson
Ole Miss transfer Tianna Thompson has announced her commitment to Baylor women’s basketball, according to her social media. Thompson joins Utah transfer Reese Ross in Baylor’s transfer class.
The 5-foot-10 guard averaged 6.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists in her sophomore campaign with the Rebels, shooting 40.4% from the field, 41.6% from beyond the arc and 94.4% from the free-throw line.
Thompson adds offensive firepower, ranking third on Ole Miss in ORAPM this past season. She also posted a strong 3.2% steal percentage. The Atlanta native will add 3-point shooting to a Baylor team that shot just 31.4% from distance this past season.
Thompson, a former top-100 recruit, began her career at Georgia Tech. She will have two years of eligibility left.
