Baylor WR Josh Cameron Drafted by Jacksonville in 6th Round of 2026 NFL Draft
PITTSBURGH – Baylor wide receiver Josh Cameron was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the sixth round with the 191st overall pick of the 2026 NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon; he becomes the second Bear drafted, joining defensive lineman Jackie Marshall (Tennessee Titans).
Cameron put together a masterful final season in Waco. He earned first-team All-Big 12 honors while totaling 872 yards and nine touchdowns on 69 receptions.
This included some elite performances against ranked teams as he had 151 yards and two touchdowns against No. 17 SMU and 165 yards and two touchdowns against No. 15 Utah. His 13 receptions in the matchup versus Utah are good for fourth all-time in Baylor program history.
In 2024, Cameron emerged as one of the best playmakers in the Big 12 as the Bears won six straight games down the stretch. He totaled 754 yards and 10 touchdowns as he helped the Bears bounce back from a 3-9 season in 2023. Cameron also led the nation in yards per punt return as he earned second-team All-America honors.
Cameron finished eighth all-time in BU program history in receptions (170), 11th in receiving yards (2,236) and eighth in receiving touchdowns (19).
The Cedar Park native won 25 games in his final two seasons of high school, posting 170 receptions for 2,353 yards and 28 touchdowns. Even with that outstanding finish to his high school career, he still did not gain major interest at the next level and walked on at Baylor.
