WACO, Texas – The Baylor Line has been nominated for Best Walk-Out Tradition as part of USA Today Sports’ 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards.
Nominated by an expert panel as one of the top 20 walk-out traditions in the nation, the Baylor Line sees all incoming first-year students rush the field at McLane Stadium to form a human tunnel ahead of the football team’s entrance. Running strong for over five decades, each student wears a gold jersey that displays their graduation year and chosen nickname on the back. Once the team has taken the field, The Line takes their seats in an exclusive section behind the opponent’s bench to cheer on the Bears.
Fans are able to vote once per day for their favorite Walk-Out Tradition until voting ends on Monday, August 17. Ten of the 20 nominees will be announced as winners on Wednesday, August 26. Click here to vote.
