After finishing among the worst defenses in the Power Four a season ago, head coach Dave Aranda and Baylor football have put together a strong offseason on paper to help completely rebuild a unit that ranked No. 101 in the nation and allowed the second-most rushing yards (197.3) and points per game (32.6) in the Big 12.

No matter which way you slice it, Baylor’s defensive advanced analytics and statistical profile were both terrible in 2025.
