Throughout his nearly two-decade coaching career, offensive coordinator Jake Spavital, 41, has worked with quarterbacks such as Johnny Manziel, Case Keenum, Geno Smith, Kyler Murray and Fernando Mendoza, to name a few. But as he enters his third season in Waco, Spavital didn’t hesitate to put Florida transfer DJ Lagway in that same conversation.
