It’s Monday of Week 1. There are seasons when this day is an exciting day, and seasons when this day doesn’t carry much luster at all. Just a year ago, there was anticipation and optimism among some of the Baylor fan base for a run to the Big 12 Championship, but the Bears fell on their faces. Twelve months later, a lot has changed, but a lot has also stayed the same. Dave Aranda is still the head coach, but he’s hands off the defense for the first time since 2022, and he arguably has the top OC-DC combination in the Big 12; at worst, he has a duo that should be in the conversation based on their histories.
