Advanced Depth Chart: Prairie View Looking To Repeat As SWAC Champs

This is Part 1 of my Prairie View A&M preview. It covers their roster, while later parts will cover their stats and will cover X’s and O’s. Tremaine Jackson is the second-year head coach of the Panthers and led them to easily the best season they’ve had in recent memory. They won the SWAC and were an OT loss away from winning the Celebration Bowl: the unofficial HBCU “national title.” His ability to not only coach on game day but also develop a roster has been great so far as the head man on the hill. As an assistant, he was a very successful DC. I actually remember previewing his defense back in 2018 when he was ACU’s DC, who already had a solid track record. His scheme is different now and has adapted with the sport, but the results have been consistently strong. How good have they been, and who do they have? We’ll dive into each.
